Compliance
This page states where SendShelf stands in relation to Amazon. It exists because the question matters more here than it would for most tools: an influencer account is a creator's income, and a tool that puts it at risk is worse than no tool.
We are not affiliated with Amazon
SendShelf is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Amazon in any way. We are an independent tool built for creators in the Amazon Influencer Program. There is no partnership, no integration, no approval, and no special access. Describing who the tool is for is the only claim we make.
We never request Amazon credentials
There is no field anywhere in SendShelf to type an Amazon password into. No "connect your account" button, no OAuth flow, no session-cookie import, no browser extension. We cannot mishandle a credential we have no way to receive.
Your Creator Hub is not read. Your earnings are not imported. Your published video list is not synced.
We make no automated requests to any Amazon service
Not to fetch a product title, not to check a price, not to count reviews, not for anything. When you add a product you paste an ASIN or a product URL; we pull the ASIN out of that string with a pattern match on our own server and then stop.
This is enforced by a test that fails our build
A rule that lives in someone's head is a rule until the week someone is busy. So ours lives in the test suite instead.
Our backend has an automated check that scans every source file for any HTTP client — the standard Java ones, the Spring ones, the common third-party ones — and fails the build if it finds one. It does not check for URLs, which can be assembled at runtime; it checks for the capability. If there is no HTTP client anywhere in the backend, there is no outbound request to any host, and that includes the one we care about.
The practical consequence is that adding a feature which called Amazon would not be a code review someone might wave through. It would be a red build, on a check whose failure message says exactly why it exists. Somebody would have to delete that test on purpose.
We do not scrape Amazon — and we would rather you didn't either
Amazon's Conditions of Use prohibit automated data collection. Any tool that offers to log in on your behalf, scrape your dashboards or "sync" your videos is asking you to accept that risk in exchange for saving typing, on an account worth far more than the time saved.
The asymmetry is not close, which is why we removed our own ability to offer it. If a future version ever needs product-page data, the only pattern we would consider is a browser extension reading a page you have already opened yourself. A server-side crawler is not acceptable at any version.
All product data is entered by you
Every product record in SendShelf — the title, brand, category, price, dates and costs — is typed in by the creator. Nothing is fetched, and there is currently no import of any kind: no file upload, no earnings import, no bulk load. If it is in your account, you put it there. It takes about twenty seconds per product.
We use no Amazon logos or product imagery
No Amazon logos, no marks in our product name, our company name or our domain, and no product photography taken from listings. Nothing on this site loads an image, a font or a script from an Amazon host — nothing on this site loads anything from any third-party host at all.
We do use the word "Amazon", because there is no way to say who this tool is for without it. We use it only descriptively, in the form "creators in the Amazon Influencer Program", and never in a way that implies we are an Amazon product or partner. Amazon and all related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Your compliance is still yours
Nothing here changes your own obligations, and using SendShelf does not discharge any of them.
You remain responsible for complying with the Amazon Influencer Program's terms and the Associates Operating Agreement — including how you disclose affiliate relationships and what you may say in a video.
You are also responsible for meeting the FTC's disclosure requirements. A material connection to a brand or a marketplace has to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously in the content itself; SendShelf does not do that for you, does not check that you have, and has no way to know.
If you are unsure what applies to you, ask someone qualified. We are a production tracker, not a compliance service, and this page is a statement of our position rather than advice about yours.
